Experience has shown that it can take some time for the dog to accept dust baths. Distributing the dust by hand over the bedding, corners and cracks is also a good idea during this phase.

Blood Shield

Combine Blood Shield with our dust bath. Blood Shield helps quickly and reliably via the drinking water. The herbs promote animal health and quickly ensure a better night's sleep.

Blood Shield consists of 100% natural herbal ingredients and promotes the health of your animals.

Cumbasil Mite then provides permanent, chemical-free protection against mites in the stable through dust bathing and the animals are meaningfully occupied.

Sand bath for your chickens - chemical-free and natural

Cumbasil Mite is a chemical-free and natural mineral powder to protect against ectoparasites such as red bird mites, fleas, lice or biting lice.

  • Effective against chicken mites and other parasites
  • Regulates the mite pressure in the chicken coop
  • Low dust development in the stable
  • 100% natural and chemical-free
  • Easy to use

Due to the particularly good adhesion properties to chicken mites, their mobility is massively restricted. The feathers are therefore difficult for the mites to penetrate. The mite pressure in the barn is thus effectively regulated. In addition, the amount of dust in the barn is kept to a minimum.

The sand bath not only protects your animal from parasites, but also promotes the quality and shine of the plumage thanks to the silicon minerals contained in the dust bath.

Cumbasil Mite has been used by chicken and poultry farmers for years, whether to regulate the mite pressure in the barn or to keep the animals occupied.

well-being and employment

Our Cumbasil Mite dust bath sticks to the feathers and the pads of your chickens. This spreads it throughout the entire coop and ensures that mites on parts of the coop or in cracks also come into contact with Cumbasil Mite.

The dust bath also provides the animals with meaningful activity. The additional activity significantly reduces boredom, feather pecking and stress in the herd.

Scientifically tested

The Poultry Training and Research Institutes have included our sand bath in their recommendations and confirm its effectiveness. As a purely natural product, it is used by organic farms and is listed by FiBl. The bedding becomes drier, the hygiene standard improves and the smell in the stable is reduced. Its use is welcomed by the KAT office and does not require approval.

Contains no biocides and is 100% natural.

application recommendation

Cumbasil Mite is made available to your animals by accumulating it in the scratching area. Setting up dust trays has proven particularly effective. The dust trays are filled with Cumbasil Mite. Your animals do the rest. Your animals instinctively scratch and brood in the Cumbasil Mite.

Notice

Cumbasil Mite is 100% chemical-free. The high-quality, fine powder adheres excellently to the animals' plumage and is perfect for organic farms. Read the product information before use! Avoid contact with eyes! The product has an unlimited shelf life if stored in a cool, dry place.

Fill the dust bath regularly. The dust bath should not become damp. Loosen the dust bath regularly with a rake. To increase acceptance, you can mix the dust bath with the usual stable bedding.

Origin

Cumbasil Mite is a mineral powder obtained from pure, dry natural rock. When Cumbasil Mite is ground, the product is given a special grain size distribution that has been developed for effective use and reduced dust.

FAQ

How does Cumbasil Mite work?

Due to the particularly good adhesive properties of Cumbasil Mite on ectoparasites, the mobility of the parasites is massively restricted. This makes it difficult for the mites to penetrate the feathers. The mite pressure in the stable is thus effectively regulated. In addition, the particularly good adhesive properties keep the amount of dust in the stable to a minimum.

Does Cumbasil Mite only help against mites?

Cumbasil Mite also helps against feather lice. Since these live as parasites on chickens all year round, it makes sense to provide your chickens with our natural parasite protection all year round.

Is it dangerous to inhale Cumbasil Mite?

Inhaling dust from stables should generally be avoided. The employers' liability insurance association therefore recommends wearing dust masks. Our Cumbasil Mite contains almost no nanoparticles. This means that dust emissions in stables are significantly lower than those of other competitors. If used carefully, Cumbasil Mite poses no danger to the user. We believe it is very important for the animals that as few nanoparticles as possible are constantly inhaled when brooding. You can quickly determine for yourself whether your current dust bath is rich in nanoparticles. If your product behaves like face powder on the skin, it consists of a very large proportion of fine dust. Cumbasil Mite has a very well-adhering grain structure, which enables us to be highly effective against parasites without the disadvantages of nanoparticles.

Can the adoption of Cumbasil Mite be encouraged?

Mix Cumbasil Mite with 1/3 potting soil. This imitates the natural structure of the soil and can support acceptance, especially at the beginning of the acclimatization process. Once acceptance has taken place, you can later do without the potting soil.
