About Us

Dear visitors to our website!

I'm glad you found us. My name is Elmar Heither and I am the founder of Uberto. If you want to trust a company, you have to know its history.

My first experience of how helpful the many symbioses between humans and nature are came from wastewater biology. As if by magic, all you have to do is create the right environment to clean completely contaminated wastewater. After that, my interest in health and medicine led me to the pharmaceutical industry. As a young person, I was fascinated by the industry. However, I learned about the shortcomings of our health care system every day when talking to doctors. Ultimately, it is a system that lives off people's symptoms of illness - and these are precisely the ones that are treated. A system that leads to more and more medication being taken because the cause is never treated. This ultimately results in a way of thinking that is shaped by dogmas and prohibitions on thinking.

I was very surprised that these structures also determine the way we think in agricultural chemistry. Our soils and crops are also becoming sicker and less fertile. Both systems only combat symptoms, and alternative approaches are considered unscientific.

With this experience, I founded the company Uberto in 2012. It all began with a contact with Robert Becker from the Becker winery about the use of silicon-containing rock flour in viticulture. The winery is one of the top wineries in the southern Palatinate and is known for its exceptional Pinot Noirs. Robert Becker described to me in great detail the experiences he had had with the use of minerals for fertilization. His enthusiasm infected me at the time. A journey into the world of soil fertility began.

The amazing thing is that all knowledge about the connections and essential meanings and effects of minerals could only be found in old books. Even during my research, information about it disappeared from Wikipedia. Our history of growing crops has thus experienced a paradigm shift.

Natural, sustainable concepts that have produced high-quality food for us have been replaced by industrialised agriculture whose aim is essentially to increase yields – a fatal dead end that is currently in the process of collapsing.

Our Provinea® rock flours were intended to raise awareness in agriculture of the importance of soil biology for the plant world. I quickly realised how little knowledge there is among its owners, particularly about the vitality of the soil. Our current textbooks are not geared towards agriculture that is in harmony with nature and produces sustainably for us humans.

The connection to one's own field and one's own animals is lost. Ever larger machines for mechanical soil cultivation and a great reliance on chemical agents characterize the actors. However, nature knows many alternatives that are sometimes not taken into account in all forms of cultivation.

Our product range today is close to nature and practical. We offer solutions that see humans, animals and plants as one. We need to preserve this nature because it is the basis on which we live.

Nature knows many alternatives that are sometimes not taken into account in all forms of cultivation. Our product range is therefore close to nature and practice. With us you will find solutions that see people, animals and plants as a unit.

With kind regards
Elmar Heither
