How does Cumbasil Mite work?

Cumbasil Mite® penetrates deep into the poultry's feathers through the animals' instinctive dust bathing. Contact with Cumbasil Mite severely limits the mite's mobility. The powdered feathers become a natural barrier that prevents the mites from penetrating the skin. The animals also permanently distribute the fine microminerals throughout the entire barn, making it difficult for the mites to move. It is a purely physical mode of action* Cumbasil Mite® has no biocidal properties and can therefore be used directly on the animal. When making your purchase decision, make sure that dust baths have been tested for their biocidal properties if you plan to dust bathe your animals to protect them from parasites.

Safety for your animals!

The safety of the animals and their owners is a matter close to our hearts. When selecting Cumbasil Mite®, we made sure that the ingredients were well below all relevant limits for feed. It is absolutely safe for the animals to ingest it when brooding. Another important issue is the fine dust pollution caused by nanoparticles. The grain structure of Cumbasil Mite has very good natural adhesive properties. These are extremely important for the mechanical mode of action. Tests at the University of Applied Sciences Südwestfalen* show how Cumbasil Mite is very effective at restricting the movement of the mite. This means that we can easily do without nanoparticles. Compared to other mineral powders, Cumbasil Mite produces significantly less dust. A property that our customers really appreciate when they enter the occupied stable!

About the study

It's that easy

Set up a tub in the animals' stable and then fill it with Cumbasil Mite®. To ensure that the animals can bathe properly, the tub should be at least 5cm high. As soon as the animals start to brood, the fine minerals are distributed throughout the stable and in their plumage. The animals instinctively protect themselves from corner parasites. If the mite pressure in the stable increases, the animals will visit the dust bath more often. Our mite protection has no resistance, promotes the cleaning of the plumage and ensures beautiful plumage.
